The Old Sycamore

Diseased and enormous, home to the mites

Looming over the hills in the northern Kamelands, a graying hulk of a sycamore clings precariously to life. This 120 foot tall tree is a well known landmark and visible for miles around. It is one of the largest of its kind that you have ever seen, a true giant among nature.

It is also sick, dying, and infested with mites. They burrow among the sycamore’s roots like parasites, cling to its branches like termites, and conduct foul experiments among its roots. Countless centipedes undulate in its depths, beloved of the foul mites.
